Do you shoot in film or digital ?
What is your pricing?
I’ve learned over the years that every celebration is different and comes with its own set of unique needs. Because of this, we quote every wedding, elopement, and portrait session. The price depends on what you want for your wedding. . Contact me and I can send you a more specific outline of the investment once I know more about your needs.
I shoot in digital, for many reasons, and one of them is backup. In film, there is never a copy, the photographs can be damaged or the camera could not work and we can't know this before having the photos developed. In digital, my photos are directly copied to 2 SD cards at the same time and then copied to a hard drive and a secure cloud.
Do you work with a second shooter ?
Do you offer videography?
I do not offer videography services, but I can of course recommend wedding videographers.
It can happen to me either at the request of the bride and groom, or I can propose it to the future bride and groom when it is for example a big wedding with many guests. But this is always at the choice of the bride and groom, of course.
How do I confirm my wedding date?
Once you’ve selected your date and we’ve determined your collection, I will prepare and send a photography contract for your review. I ask that you return your signed contract within about 3 weeks to ensure your date remains available. Once I receive your contract and the 30 percent photography retainer + travel & accomodation cost , your wedding date is officially booked! The final balance is due One week prior to your wedding date.
When will you arrive to our wedding location ?
I usually arrive at least the day before your wedding day, I take into account all possible delays beyond my control to be 100% sure to be at your Wedding, and for the moment this has not yet but never happened.
Being early allows me to take a tour of the wedding venue, to do some location scouting and to see the best places to photograph the story of your wedding.
Is travel and accomodation included in your pricing ?
Travel is not included in the pricing for my collections. As each wedding is unique, I love to learn about your destination and celebration before we discuss travel plans. I then customize a quote based on the location and number of shooting days. The travel quote is added to your selected collection.
Do I need a shotlist?
I will send you a questionnaire 2 months before your wedding with questions about you and your wedding that will help me to photograph your wedding story as well as possible.
I will have a shotlist with the important people and the most important moments of your wedding.
the day of your wedding, I will ask you to have in one room the dress, wedding rings, shoes and jewelry that you want to have in pictures. I usually spend the first hour taking pictures of all the details that are important.
how do you capture the Wedding story ?
I have a practical approach to planning your wedding day. our goal is to ensure that you have the best natural light for every part of your celebration. The end result yields a beautiful balance of people, details and emotion.
What happens if Matthias get sick or has some of emergency right before the wedding
What equipment do you use ?
I work under the Canon brand, with specialized equipment for weddings, all photographs are copied in duplicate as soon as they are released. And I work with several cameras and a lot of memory card, battery and other equipment.
An emergency before a wedding is something I've never experienced. However, it is something to be considered, and being a very careful person, I will make sure to find a replacement photographer in the same style and at the same rate.
I have a solid network that I have built over years of work.
Alternatively, I would return your full investment and allow you to make your own arrangements if you so choose.
Will we have an online gallery?
Yes of course, with all the photographs of your Wedding, in High Definition, which the guests will be able to download if you wish.
How many image will we get ?
Who sould be included in our family photos ?
Normally, between 80 and 100 per hour of coverage.
I will photograph you first with the people close to you, I will send you a request 2 weeks before your Wedding with the list of your family members and different groups of friends.
